Rachel A. Zylka, B.A., M.A., BCBA (Board Certified Behaviour Analyst)

For over ten years, Rachel Zylka has worked with families with children, adolescents and adults with autism, and other developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including child care centres, classrooms, hospitals, vocational settings, and families’ homes as a Behaviour Consultant.

As a Behaviour Consultant, her expertise includes: performing Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA), developing Behavior Intervention Plans, language and skill development, training parents and staff in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), and providing consultation and collaboration with parents, teachers, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists and other professionals.

Rachel received her B.A. in Early Childhood Development, and her M.A. in Special Education at the University of British Columbia, with a focus in autism and applied behaviour analysis. Rachel received her Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification in 2012.

Rachel is working towards creating a new standard for high quality behavioural intervention services, and strives for a model where all parents have access to knowledge and training in the science of behaviour.
